Our reinvention of Signature Alyssa Nicole pieces have been tailored and carefully crafted so that piece to exudes sophistication. Crafted in our San Francisco design studio, our signature Tuxedo Dress exudes ladylike charm. Our original black and white tuxedo dress was the source of inspiration for Alyssa Nicole's Signature Collection.
Houndstooth jacquard, soft organza, and woven cotton poplin in shades of black in white were used throughout the line. A touch of feminine charm is found in bows accentuating the waistline. Flared skirts create delightful aline silhouettes. Full pleats on flared skirts illustrate playful sophistication. See the looks below!

Alyssa Nicole Signature Collection Lookbook
Since the relaunch of Alyssa Nicole as a demi-couture collection - I put my signature styles to rest - until now. For months I've been secretly working hard to redesign my signature Tuxedo Dress and High Waist Skirt for my new Signature Collection. These pieces have been refined and polished into a new sophisticated demi-couture line. Each piece remains youthful in feel - however I've tailored and carefully crafted each piece to exude sophistication.I worked with one of my favorite photographers Jess Sorensen and Hedy Lavinksy -who happens to be an amazing hair and makeup stylist - on creative direction for my Signature Lookbook. We set out to style an ethereal lookbook to compliment the naif chic looks in the collection. A soft cat eye and nude lip accompanies loose curls and wispy hair styling. As always, the San Francisco fog created a moody dreamlike atmosphere which created a sense of restlessness and fragility within the lookbook.
This collection was a bit nostalgic for me as I reinvented some of my most popular styles. I began my line with a few simple designs before my collection began to grow and blossom. ALYSSA NICOLE SIGNATURE COLLECTION
You've asked for it - and now it's here! I began my line with a few simple styles for my Etsy shop (which has since been discontinued) back in 2009 - a few high waisted skirts and a couple strapless dresses is where my collection began to grow and blossom. My signature design - the Strapless Tuxedo Dress - was a closet staple for my loyal customers. Not far behind was the Pleated High Waist Skirt - which I continue to wear myself in various colors and fabrications on a regular basis.

"Still Cold" Alyssa Nicole Fall 2014 Short Fashion Film
This season I decided to shoot a short film for my Fall 2014 Collection. We collaborated with a writer this season for the story line of the short film. We had settled on the story line having two parts, beginning with exploring coldness and ending the story with optimism. With the help of our photographer, we were able to decide on two locations for the video -beginning our shoot at the Legion of Honor and ending it at the Spire by Andy Goldsworthy in the Presidio, San Francisco.
"Still Cold" is an exploration of coldness and feeling fragile. Defining oneself at the point between childhood and adulthood - "Still Cold" is our refusal to be jaded by the world.

Alyssa Nicole Fall 2014 Lookbook
Shooting a lookbook is at the top list of my priorities every season. My lookbooks are the most important part of finalizing the collection because it's how I present my vision for the season. I had created a mood board with ethereal photographs, abstract paintings, and starlight all in shades of moody blues which translated into the color palette for the line. Initially I was inspired by the song 'Still Cold' by Mazzy Star which played a part in our process for conceptualizing the lookbook and our story for the film.
We set out to portray 'coldness' in our lookbook and the cold stone and marble at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco was a perfect location to shoot my collection. We felt the stone columns would add a regal touch to the kimono and bell sleeve evening gowns I designed for the collection. If you've seen our short fashion film, you know there are two parts to our story so we incorporated two separate locations for our photo shoot. We photographed the second part of our lookbook in the Presidio at Andy Goldsworthy's Spire & Woodline. The Spire was created to have a sense of "becoming endless below it" which I feel to be a pretty accurate description for how I feel about 'coldness' and my overall theme for the collection.
We began to explore this and how coldness is like an endless cycle which is contagious in a way, infecting people who are very fragile. I believe hope, dreams, and ambition build the strongest people. "Still Cold" is our refusal to be jaded by the world

Alyssa Nicole Fall 2014 Collection

Alyssa Nicole’s Fall 2014 collection was inspired by the concept of coldness. Detachment and coldness have been interpreted into color as shades of midnight blue. Metallic threads create an illusionary vision of starlight in still coldness.
The campaign ad for Alyssa Nicole’s F/W 14 collection illustrates an atmosphere of dark whimsy executed by Alyssa’s romantic styling. The ‘Still Cold’ inspired lookbook embodies a soft moody tone to compliment the ethereal and feminine aesthetic of Alyssa Nicole.
